[top] CRGIS: Mapping History for the Future

NASA Langley Research Center manages its historic buildings and structures and archeological resources through its Cultural Resource Management Program. An effective management tool is the application of GIS. NASA is using GIS, Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and other technologies to create computer images and spatial data for historic maps and site inventories. In so doing, CRGIS helps its partners and the public access, exchange, and distribute accurate information about the historic resources within the agency. The website also fulfills a growing demand for interactive histories of NASA's historic resources.

The information presented on this website is considered public information and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credits is requested.
